Found this place on Yelp. We ordered the shrimp, beef and chicken dishes. Out of the 3, the chicken was the best. The shrimp dish was ok and the beef was whatever... so, get the chicken dish!!!

Come for: the huli huli chicken plate Know that: this place is inside of a jewelry store. They also prepare chicken in batches fresh outside - prepare to smell like it. The name of the place gives you a pretty good idea of what you're about to get. This is a classic hidden gem hole-in-the-wall place who does good food right. When you enter, walk to the left of the jewelry store and order at the counter. They have different plates here but go for the chicken. Make sure they give you some of the chicken sauce. This chicken - succulent, flavorful, and filling - is unlike your normal rotisserie chicken. Pair it with the sauce, the rice, and the mac salad and you have the perfect bite. That sauce is made from a sweetened soy sauce base and I presume fat from the chicken. Take your knife and fork to break it down as you go to keep it hot the whole meal.

You can't miss Yummy Huli Huli Chicken! No literally, if you're driving down Kamehameha Hwy, you can't miss the fire pit where you can catch them roasting chicken right in front of the restaurant. We popped in and I ordered their Huli Huli Chicken Plate with extra Huli Huli Sauce in the side (for an extra dollar). The woman serving the counter was especially helpful and patient as we were figuring out our order, and I was surprised at how quickly our food came out in just a few minutes. I'm pretty picky with roasted chicken but their huli huli chicken was delicious, juicy, and well cooked. If you like huli huli, I recommend getting extra sauce, since the chicken can have a lot of meat. They give you a pair of plastic gloves for you to use while tearing into your chicken, and paired with a side of rice and mac salad, this plate hit the spot after a visit to Kualoa. If you have time after or while you're waiting for your food, there are merch, souvenir, and jewelry stands in the same building to look around/shop for something to take home.

This restaurant has food like no other! We stopped by on our road trip to North Shore and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food! We ordered two mild Garlic Shrimp (no shell) plates, and one Pan Fried Fish Plate. Our food was ready in under ten minutes and the seafood tasted very fresh. The garlic shrimp was tender and flavorful and paired beautifully with the side of macaroni salad and rice. The fish was crisp and moist, and tasted delicious alongside the aioli sauce. For garlic lovers, I'd recommend asking for extra garlic, since the flavor of the garlic didn't stand out as much. The restaurant is located inside a larger store, and has two areas for browsing jewelry, clothing, and souvenirs! The food truly surpassed all of our expectations, and I highly recommend eating here! We will definitely be back again!!

Our 2nd stop of the day yesterday. We had to put in the order inside the store. There were merchs inside for tourist as well as table for people who want to eat their chicken inside. The Chicken was very tasty, not dry, and delicious. I am not sure how this compares to the huli huli chicken on the Big Island, but this was not disappointing at all. This will probably be another must go to when I visit my son on Oahu.

Yoooo, Yummy Huli Huli Chicken is amazing! We've passed this place so many time and always wanted to try it. Driving by, you smell the chicken roasting and it smells so good. We arrived at 10am (an hour after online says they open) and they let us know it would still be about 30 minutes until the chickens were done. No prob, we went to the macadamia nut farm 1 minute away and killed some time. We came back 30 minutes later and it was worth the wait! You can't rush perfection! We split a half chicken plate that came with mac salad and rice. Man, was that some of the best chicken I've ever had. It also comes with a teeny bit of huli sauce and it's so good. Pro tip: shred the chicken up first then pour the sauce on top. Overall, the staff were awesome. The chicken was awesome. You'll leave here feeling awesome. 10/10 would recommend!

I almost never eat chicken when I travel because it's usually boring and something I can make myself at home. But Yummy Huli Huli Chicken changed my view on this... for good! YUMMY. HULI HULI. CHICKEN. GOAT chicken meal in Oahu!!! Period. Located off the side of the road near Kualoa Ranch, you'll be greeted by the sight (and smell) of whole chickens being roasted on sticks over hot coals in the parking lot! While this might seem a little foreign to us mainlanders, in Hawaii it's spots like these you'll find authentic Hawaiian plate lunches! This establishment doesn't just sell food. Inside you will find a 90's mall-like setting with numerous souvenirs being sold (kill two birds with one stone- get a delicious Hawaiian plate lunch and buy a gift for your Uncle Bob). My wife and I arrived at 10am but were told to come back at 10:30am as the chicken wasn't ready yet. To kill time we went to a nearby macadamia nut farm. Once we returned we ordered at the counter inside: one Huli Huli chicken plate. For $16 you receive half a chicken, mac salad, and rice- a STEAL in today's world. The only reason my wife and I decided to split was we had a full day of eating ahead of us (lol). They also sell shrimp and beef meals, but we listened to Yelp and went full Huli. My wife and I chose to sit outside, although there are tables and chairs inside the business as well. Each bite of Huli Huli chicken was UNREAL. Extraordinarily flavorful and juicy chicken... with meat falling off the bone!! You get the taste and smell from the coals in each bite! I'd best describe the flavor as 'Hawaiian,' meaning infused with island spices and a teriyaki after-taste. It's some of the best rotisserie-style chicken I've ever had. The mac salad and rice were also fantastic! In a nutshell, this establishment is an absolute MUST if you're on the Northeastern side of Oahu and want a delicious, authentic Hawaiian plate lunch! The ambiance of watching the chickens being cooked out front is part of the experience! And the chef who does all this is a celebrity! Cars honk and waive to him as they drive by. Just go and get your 'Huli Huli' on!

This review is specifically for the huli huli chicken (and the crack sauce). We've ordered their other plates, and I would personally recommend sticking with the huli huli. Having said that, the chicken has been perfect every time. It is never dry, it's never boring, and we always devour the whole thing. The size of the chicken (depending on which you order), is pretty generous for the price. You can even order a WHOLE chicken and take it with you! What a value! The dipping sauce it comes with is so good you will want to drink it. So if you're a sauce gal, I would say ask for an extra. They charge, but it's worth it. This is the perfect plate lunch to grab on the way to Kualoa or anywhere past that. The smell coming from the huli huli is so enticing, you can't possibly miss it. It's located inside Coral Kingdom, a souvenier shop that has lots cute stuff, honestly. They're always super nice and your food comes out pretty quickly. The do have some seating outdoors, so if you'd rather just eat it right away, that's an option, too. If you're on the hunt for some solid huli huli chicken, definitely give this place a try!

Amazing RoadSide Bbq Huli Huli Chicken!! Freshly grill and you can smell the aromas when you drive by. Cant resist. A stone throws away from the Kuoala ranch! Its order at the counter, pay, and they call your number to pick up your order. Quick and efficient. Chicken so juicy and dont forget to ask for the special sauce. Free for the 1st one but $1 for the next. Grilled outside and served hot and fresh inside, cant beat that! Served with rice and a scoop macaroni salad. Very hawaiian and authentic. A must visit when in hawaii! Cheers! Happy eating!
